Manera + QuickBooks Online: instant-billing into your books

Manera's MANERAbilling flagship can already invoice via Stripe; the QuickBooks Online connector closes the loop so every invoice, payment, refund, and currency conversion lands in your QBO chart of accounts without a CSV-juggling intern.

What it does

• Invoice sync — every Stripe-issued invoice mirrors as a QBO Invoice with the right customer, currency, and class
• Payment + refund mirror — payment_intent.succeeded becomes a QBO Receive Payment; refunds become Credit Memos
• Multi-currency journal entries — the FX gain/loss on each Wise treasury action posts as a journal in your base currency
• GST/HST/QST tax mapping — Manera maps Stripe Tax line items to your QBO tax codes (Quebec, Canada, US sales tax, EU VAT, UK VAT)
• Class-based attribution — invoices land in the correct QBO Class so you can see margin by flagship in QBO P&L

How it works

The flow is: Stripe issues an invoice → Manera webhook receives invoice.finalized → Manera POSTs to QBO /v3/company/<id>/invoice → QBO returns invoice ID → Manera stores the cross-reference in entitlement_gate.sqlite for reconciliation.

FAQ

Q: When will this go live? Q3 2026. We're already in Intuit's beta partner program for QBO Online; sandbox testing in progress.

Q: Will it work with QuickBooks Desktop? No. QBO Online only — Desktop's API is limited and Intuit has signaled deprecation. If you're on Desktop and considering Manera, plan to migrate to QBO first.

Q: What about Xero? Xero is also Q3 2026 (see /integrations/xero).

Q: How does this handle multi-entity / multi-company QBO setups? Each Manera customer maps to one QBO company. Multi-entity buyers (separate QBO files for separate legal entities) configure per-flagship routing — e.g., your US LLC's Stripe account routes to QBO US, your CA Inc. routes to QBO CA.

Q: What about chart-of-accounts mapping? Setup wizard guides you through mapping Manera's revenue / cost / tax / FX accounts to your QBO accounts on first connect. Defaults to common SaaS chart-of-accounts patterns.
